Knowledge from your website

- A note when the basis is not sufficient
The basis of every package: the assistant searches, it does not invent.
A chat window on your website that answers visitor questions – grounded in your pages, your texts and your articles. With the sources named under every answer, a link to the right page, and a handover to a person as soon as it gets specific.
Next to this text stands the same assistant we set up on your website – here with our own knowledge base. It knows the pages and articles of xictron.com, names its source, and hands over as soon as things get specific.
On your website the assistant carries your logo, your colours and your tone. Greeting and example questions come from your context – just like on this page.
Tell us briefly where the assistant should work and what it needs to be able to answer. You receive a quote with a fixed setup price and a fixed monthly price – free of charge and without obligation.
The difference to a classic chatbot is not the window, it is the basis: the assistant answers from what your website actually says, and shows it underneath every answer.
Your pages, texts and articles become a knowledge base. For every question the matching passages are retrieved and used as the basis for the answer.
The assistant names the pages it relied on. Visitors can read on instead of guessing – and you see which content actually carries the load.
When it gets specific, or when the assistant reaches its limit, it collects the enquiry and passes it on to you – with a summary of the conversation.
The assistant speaks the language of the page it stands on – German on the German version, English on the English one. International visitors do not need a second installation.
The assistant asks what something is needed for, compares the options and gives reasons for its recommendation – based on what your pages say. From the Pro package.
As individual development the assistant operates your systems: shop, ERP, calendar or your own software. It calls defined functions and works with real data instead of assumptions.
The question does not go to a language model unfiltered. First the assistant searches your knowledge base for the passages that match the question. Those passages go to the model together with the question and your instructions on tone, and the model phrases the answer and names the sources it used. The model also contributes general language knowledge – which is why the notice below the chat says that all information is provided without warranty, and why maintaining your content is part of running the assistant.
An assistant can do considerably more than answer questions. This overview shows the whole range – and marks what the packages include and what is added as individual development.
The basis of every package: the assistant searches, it does not invent.
An answer turns into a click on the right page.
The assistant hands over instead of muddling through.
Advice based on your content – without a connection to another system.
Sales-minded only where it serves the visitor.
You see what visitors ask – and what the website is missing.
Individual development: the assistant calls functions of your system.
This is how the assistant works in our own website monitoring.
Anything beyond the packages is built as individual development.
Every connection starts with the question of which function the assistant may call and which data it sees in the process. We define these functions one by one, we do not give it general access to your systems, and every call is logged. The effort depends on what your systems already offer as an interface – which is why we do not quote a flat price here but work out the scope beforehand.
All prices net plus VAT. Setup is charged once, operation monthly. There is no minimum term.
Setup from 990 € net · no minimum term
The assistant for a website: answers recurring questions and guides visitors to the right contact.
A good fit when you mainly want to cover advisory questions, opening hours, services and routes to contact.
Request StartSetup from 2,900 € net · no minimum term
The assistant that advises: asks about the need, sets the options side by side and gives reasons for its recommendation.
A good fit when visitors expect a recommendation rather than a mere answer – without a connection to another system.
Request ProSetup from 4,900 € net · operation billed by actual scope
The assistant as part of your systems: reads real data, triggers defined actions and works inside your processes.
A good fit when the assistant should not only answer but look things up in your systems and trigger something.
Request IndividualAll prices net plus statutory VAT. Setup covers building the knowledge base, agreeing behaviour and tone, adding the assistant to your website and a test run before go-live. The monthly price covers operation, model usage within the agreed frame, maintenance of the knowledge base and updates. What drives the exact price is set out further down this page.
The core functions are identical in every package. After that, what differs is how far the assistant advises – and from where on it accesses your systems. Anything that needs access to another system is built as individual development.

The entry price applies to a clearly defined assistant. What moves it upwards is always the same six points – so you can judge where you stand before you enquire.
After the first conversation we name a fixed setup price and a fixed monthly price. Anything added later is agreed beforehand – there is no billing per message and no surprises at the end of the month.
The technology is the shortest part. The larger part is agreement: which questions the assistant should answer, and where it is better off handing over to a person.
We look at which questions reach you every day, which of them the assistant should take over, and which deliberately stay with a person.
Your pages and articles are read, split into passages and made searchable. We report the gaps we find along the way – they are usually gaps for visitors too.
Tone, form of address, greeting, terminology and the limits: what the assistant does not answer, and when it offers the handover.
Before go-live we ask real questions from your day-to-day work and review the answers together. Whatever does not fit is corrected in the content or in the instructions.
A single script line in the page head is enough. We adapt colours, position and language to your website; your content management system stays untouched.
The knowledge base is kept up to date. From the questions actually asked you see what visitors really want to know – and where new content pays off.
An AI assistant is a data processing operation you have to explain to your visitors. So here is the full picture – including the points other providers like to leave out.
Before a visitor writes the first message, a notice appears: that they are writing to an AI assistant and not to a person, that the messages are processed by an AI service to answer them, that the conversation is stored for a limited period, and that they should not enter sensitive data. Only after confirming can the chat be used.
The chat window, the knowledge base and the search across it run on our server in Germany. To phrase the answer, the question, the retrieved passages and the conversation are passed to an AI service that also processes them outside the EU. We name that plainly in the notice instead of hiding it in the small print. In the Individual package, European or self-hosted models are possible if you want to rule that out.
Conversations are stored for a limited period to handle enquiries and improve answers, then deleted. They are not evaluated for advertising, not merged into profiles and not passed on for advertising purposes. The assistant sets no advertising cookies of its own; it only remembers in the browser that the notice was confirmed.
If a visitor wants personal advice, they fill in a contact card and separately consent to being contacted. You receive their details and a summary of the conversation by email. Without that consent no contact is passed on.
Your privacy policy needs a section on the assistant: purpose, legal basis, the service used, the third-country transfer and the retention period. We supply the text module, along with the details for your record of processing activities and a data processing agreement. The legal review of your legal texts stays with your lawyer or data protection officer – we supply the technical facts they build on.
An assistant that promises everything disappoints reliably. We would rather settle these points beforehand than in operation.
What operators most often want to know before deciding.
Operation starts at 49 € net per month, plus a one-off setup from 990 € net. The Pro package with the advisory functions is 149 € net per month and from 2,900 € net setup. For individual solutions with your own workflows, setup starts at 4,900 € net and operation is billed by actual scope.
We build a knowledge base from your pages, texts and articles. For every question the matching passages are retrieved and passed to the language model as the basis for its answer. The sources used appear underneath the answer as clickable links. The model also contributes general language knowledge, which is why a notice below the chat states that all information is provided without warranty.
Yes, and we say so openly. The chat window and the knowledge base run on our server in Germany. To phrase the answer, the messages are passed to an AI service that also processes them outside the EU. That is exactly what the notice says which every visitor has to confirm before the first message, together with the request not to enter sensitive data. If you want to rule that out, European or self-hosted models are possible in the Individual package.
It offers a handover to a person. The visitor leaves their name, email address and enquiry and separately consents to being contacted. You receive an email with the contact details and a summary of the conversation, so you do not start from zero. The number of messages per conversation is also limited so that long loops end in personal contact.
No. Setup is paid once, operation runs monthly and can be cancelled with one month's notice to the end of the month. You are not tied in beyond the current month. If you want to expand the assistant later, you move to the next package on the first of a month.
For the Start package there are usually one to two weeks between approval and go-live. With the advisory functions it is typically two to three weeks; with an integration into your systems the duration depends on the scope. Most of that time goes into agreeing the content and the desired behaviour, not into the technology.
Yes, as individual development. We connect the catalogue of your shop, the assistant then shows matching items as product cards in the chat and can add them to the cart on request. Availability and price come from the shop and are not estimated by the model. In the Start and Pro packages the assistant advises on products from your page content, without access to the shop.
Yes. The assistant is added with a single script line and requires no change to your content management system. The only requirement is that you are allowed to include a script in the page head or through your system. We adapt colours, position and language to your website; the window can be operated by keyboard and respects reduced motion.
You decide which optional data processing to allow. Our anonymous reach measurement runs without cookies and without IP storage — we do not ask for consent for it because none is legally required.
Strictly required: language preference, core site functions and storing your cookie choice. Without these the site does not work.
Stores your preferences in your browser's local storage (e.g. light/dark appearance, accessibility options). Improves comfort but is not strictly required.
Records your interactions (clicks, scrolling, inputs) pseudonymously so we can spot usability issues. Form field inputs are masked automatically before storage; your IP address is not saved with the recording. Served from our own domain, no external tool. Opt-in, revocable any time.
Allows measurement of advertising campaigns (internal UTM attribution, e.g. whether a visit came from an ad). No external advertising cookies.
